The Korean Legal Clinic (“KLC”) was founded by Korean-Canadian lawyers in Toronto. The KLC aims to improve access to justice for Korean-Canadians by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate legal services, education, and resources with our partner organizations.
한인 법률 클리닉은 한인사회를 위하는 뜻과 마음을 가진 토론토 내 한인변호사들로 구성된 위원회에 의해 설립되었습니다. 본 위원회는 파트너 기관들과 합심하여 경제적으로 어렵거나 언어 및 문화장벽으로 인해 법의 보호를 충분히 받지 못하는 온타리오 주 내 한인 동포분들을 위해 법률적 지원과 서비스, 그리고 법률상식 교육을 제공하는 것을 목표로합니다.

In addition to linguistic, cultural and education barriers faced by many Korean-Canadians, there are significant numbers of low-income individuals and families. Korean-speaking individuals often face challenges in accessing legal services because of the very low ratio of Korean-speaking licensees to the population.
캐나다 내 많은 한인들은 언어, 문화 그리고 교육의 장벽에 부딪치고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 많은이들이 저소득층에 속해 있습니다. 하지만 이 숫자에 비해 한국어가 가능한 변호사들이 많지 않아 많은 한인들이 법의 보호를 받지 못하고 있습니다.
The Law Society of Ontario showed that around 470 of 52,000+ lawyers indicated that they are Korean.
온타리오 주 변호사협회 (Law Society of Ontario) 조사에 의하면 52,000+명의 변호사 중 약 470명만이 한국인이라고 답함.
In the 2016 Census there were 93,425 ethnic Koreans in Ontario, with 43,455 in the Metropolitan Area of Toronto.
2016년 통계에 의하면 온타리오 주에는 93,425명의 한국 교포들이 있으며 이들 중
43,455명이 토론토 수도권에 거주한다고 함.
The 2016 Census reported that 32.6% of Koreans in Canada fell under the low income threshold.
